Lithocarpus litseifolius (Fagaceae) is an evergreen tree species mainly distributed south of the Qinling Mountains in China. The L. litseifolius samples used in this study were collected from a plantation in Zijiang County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. Leaves were used to extract DNA for genome sequencing using the Illumina Novaseq6000 PE150 platform, PacBio HiFi platform, and Nanopore PromethION platform. Hi-C chromosome conformation capture was utilized to assist genome assembly. This resulted in a 956.68 Mb chromosome-level reference genome for L. litseifolius. Phylogenetic analysis was performed to elucidate the evolutionary relationships of L. litseifolius.
