More...This is a de novo assembly of the Brown Norway inbred rat strain that utilized long range methods. The strain identity is BN/NHsdMcwi (Rat Genome Database ID RGD_61498). This assembly incorporates optical mapping, chromosomal conformation capture (Hi-C), and PacBio HiFi sequencing data. The final assembly was curated manually using the Wellcome Sanger Institute "Rapid Curation" pipeline. The Genome Reference Consortium (GRC) has assumed stewardship for this assembly. The GRC consists of: The Wellcome Sanger Institute, The McDonnell Genome Institute at Washington University, The European Bioinformatics Institute, the Zebrafish Information Network, the Rat Genome Database, and the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The public can report genome problems at the GRC website, http://genomereference.org.
