Comment

This is a de novo whole genome assembly of elephant shark (Callorhinchus milii), assembly name Callorhinchus_milii-6.1.3. The approximate average depth of coverage is 19.25X, with an estimated 1Gb genome size. These sequencing technologies were used: 454 Titanium, including shotgun, ... 3-kbp and 8-kbp paired-end; Sanger BAC ends, 35k fosmid and 3-4kb plasmid paired-end sequencing data sets. The approximate average depth of coverage for each data type is:
BES: 0.10X
35k fosmid: 1.38X
3-4kb plasmid: 0.02X
454 Fragment: 11.26X
454 3kbp: 4.00X
454 8kbp: 2.49X
The Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), Singapore contributed 1.4X 3730 sequence and the BAC end sequences.
