• 1) "Candidatus Sulcia" Moran et al. 2005 is a later homonym of a genus name with standing in the zoological (animal) nomenclature: Sulcia Kratochvíl, 1938. The name has been corrected to "Candidatus Karelsulcia". Publication: Oren A. "Candidatus list no. 0." A plea for linguistic accuracy - also for Candidatus taxa. • 2) A provisional name for well characterised but as-yet uncultured organisms.
• 3) 'Nom. illeg.' (= nomen illegitimum, = illegitimate name) refers to a validly published name that is not in accordance with the particular rules of its relevant Code of Nomenclature.
