Riegel P et al. (1995b) - note
Until Sept 1997, our taxonomy listed Corynebacterium ulcerans as a synonym for Corynebacterium diphtheriae. Riebel et al. (1995) have revived the name Corynebacterium ulcerans, and we have re-established it as a separate species in our taxonomy database.
