Public Note for CCDS 29267.2
The coding region has been updated to extend the N-terminus and to represent an alternate splice pattern from a variant that lacks exons 2 and 3. The update changes the protein length from 151 aa to 193 aa. The AUG used in the update has some conservation, but there is another downstream AUG that is better conserved than the first, and which has a stronger Kozak signal, and is located 4 codons downstream. This means that the downstream AUG may also be used due to leaky scanning.

Public since: CCDS release 2, NCBI annotation release 36.1, Ensembl annotation release 39

Review status: Reviewed (by RefSeq, Havana and CCDS collaboration)
