The coding region has been updated to extend the N-terminus to one that is more supported by the available transcript data, and by the reference genome allele (GRCh37 assembly). It should be noted that the updated start codon is polymorphic, where some transcripts contain ATC versus ATG in the reference genome allele. This corresponds to the reference SNP rs705441. The previously represented downstream start codon is likely to be used in transcripts derived from the ATC allele, resulting in a protein that is 27 aa shorter at the N-terminus. |
