Design: "Goal:Comparative genomics of ExPEC ST131 genomes. Design: DNA samples were prepared for multiplexed, paired-end sequencing on an Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx (Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA). DNA was sheared with SonicMAN (part no. SCM1000-3; Matrical BioScience, Spokane, WA) and the enzymatic processing (end repair, phosphorylation, A tailing, and adaptor ligation) of the DNA followed the guidelines described in the Illumina protocol (Preparing Samples for Multiplexed Paired-End Sequencing, catalog no. PE-930-1002, part no.1005361).The pooled paired-end libraries were sequenced on an Illumina GAII to a read length of at ~76bp -100bp"
