Consumer surplus in different licensing methods under mixed competition.

Surplus of sampling points at the mandal level, computed as the mixed Bayesian-likelihood sample sizes using ALC as a criterion minus the current sample size in SHC survey, for the mean of ln(Zn) and the areal fraction with Zn-deficiency.

Conceptual experimental design. Organic matter inputs through net primary production (NPP) counter-balance organic matter exports through decomposition resulting in net elevation surplus or deficit in four wetland communities along a landscape-scale transition (clockwise) from (1) freshwater forested wetland to (2) transitional mixed forest/marsh, to (3) marsh, to (4) mudflat. Experimental manipulations (elevated CO₂ and sediment deposition) simulated future hurricane sediment deposition events in a CO₂-enriched environment.

Pre-steady-state kinetics of wild-type CdChdC and variants W183Y, Y135A, and W183YY135A reaction with hydrogen peroxide was determined via stopped-flow spectroscopy. About 2–10 µM coproheme with a 1.5- to 2-fold surplus of protein were mixed with 200 µM H₂O₂ in 50 mM phosphate buffer of pH 7. Spectra at relevant time points are highlighted in black, green, yellow, or red, and intermediate spectra are shown in light grey. The insets show absorbance changes at indicated fixed wavelengths over the time and exact corresponding time points to the highlighted spectra are indicated as dots.
