SRX15645085: UCE of Austrobilharzia variglandis_SAL63.81 : whole body
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 8.7M spots, 2.6G bases, 869.5Mb downloads

Design: A custom bait set, to capture Ultra Conserved Elements (UCE) within the nuclear genome of schistosomatids, was created. Sequence capture was preformed on 47 taxa and recovered UCE loci were used for phylogenomic reconstruction of Schistosmatidae.

Study: Phylogenomics and diversification of Schistosomatidae using targeted sequence capture of ultra-conserved elements
show Abstracthide Abstract
Here we used targeted sequence capture of ultra-conserved elements (UCEs) to generate a phylogenomic dataset for estimation of schistosome interrelationships. This dataset represents the largest phylogenetic effort within Schistosomatidae in both the number of loci and breadth of taxon sampling. We present a near comprehensive family level phylogeny providing resolution to several long-standing clades within Schistosomatidae, including resolution of the placement of the North American mammalian schistosomes, supporting a secondary host-capture of mammals.
