    Organism
    Arabidopsis thaliana (ecotype: Columbia)
    Lineage
Eukaryota; Viridiplantae; Streptophyta; Embryophyta; Tracheophyta; Spermatophyta; Magnoliopsida; eudicotyledons; Gunneridae; Pentapetalae; rosids; malvids; Brassicales; Brassicaceae; Camelineae; Arabidopsis
    Also known as
    anaphase-promoting complex 13; APC13; BONSAI
    Summary
The BONSAI gene encodes a protein with similarity to the APC13 component of the Anaphase Promoting Complex. Plants with lowered level of BONSAI expression, resulting from hypomethylation, RNAi knock-down, or a T-DNA insertion show some abnormalities in shoot and inflorescence development.
