    This gene represents naturally-occurring RNAs transcribed in antisense to CDR1 (cerebellar degeneration-related protein 1, 34kDa; GeneID:1038), some of which may be circular rather than linear. The circular RNA produced by this locus acts as an miRNA sponge, preventing the miRNA from interacting with target transcripts. No RefSeq transcript is created for the circular RNA.
