Summary
Encodes a putative adenylate isopentenyltransferase. It catalyzes the formation of isopentenyladenosine 5'-monophosphate (iPMP) from AMP and dimethylallylpyrophosphate (DMAPP), but it has a lower Km for ADP and likely works using ADP or ATP in plants. It is involved in cytokinin biosynthesis.
