The following format is not NLM practice for citing authors of messages, but is an acceptable option:

  • Full first names of authors may be given
    • Separate the surname from the given name or initials by a comma and a space
    • Follow initials with a period
      Examples:
      • Takagi, Yasushi.
      • Chiarugi, Alberto M.
