Cynops pyrrhogaster (Japanese firebelly newt)

Cynops pyrrhogaster ageing transcriptome

Newts can regenerate body parts after repeated injuries. We used aged newts to investigate whether, after repeated damage, a newly regenerated tissue shows gene expression signatures of ageing. This study aims to find ways in blocking the ageing process.
