Acropora nobilis/Acropora robusta
According to Wallace (1999), Acropora nobilis is included in the synonymy of Acropora robusta, following re-examination of the type specimens of A. robusta. Wallace (1999) also states that the secies that was recognized as A. nobilis for some time (following Veron and Wallace, 1984) is Acropora intermedia. See Wallace, C.C. (1999) Staghorn corals of the World: a revision of the coral genus Acropora (Scleractinia; Astrocoeniina; Acroporidae) worldwide, with special emphasis on morphology, phylogeny and biogeography.
