Streptomyces verticillus
Palmano et al. (2000) refer to strain NCB 849 as 'Streptomyces verticillium'. The coidentical strain ATCC 15003 was deposited as "Streptomyces verticillus" Takita but is now listed as Streptomyces mobaraensis (Nagatsu and Suzuki) Witt and Stackebrandt inthe ATCC catalogue of strains, as is the coidentical strain DSM 40493 in the DSMZ catalogue of strains. The coidentical strain JCM 4924 is listed as "Streptomyces verticillus" in the JCM catalogue of strains.
