The coding region has been updated to represent an alternative splicing pattern and to extend the N-terminus based on available transcript and homology data. The 5' extension to the translation start codon of this update has no direct transcript support in human (14 nts are extended upstream of the 5'-most EST, AW448941.1), but it is supported by transcripts representing the mouse ortholog, and by conservation across several species.
